A Short Explanation of What Climate Control Means

Somersworth Storage, LLC…

provides heating and air conditioning in our three-story climate controlled building. What does that mean? In short, we use all reasonable efforts to maintain a temperature in the building by heating in the winter to no less than fifty degrees (50°) Fahrenheit and cooling in the summer to no higher than eighty degrees (80°) Fahrenheit.

All reasonable efforts shall be used to maintain humidity at approximately fifty-five percent (55%) relative humidity.

Fun fact: any humidity reading above 60 percent allows rust, mites, mold, paper rot, wood degradation and mildew to evolve.

Climate control is the superlative option for short and long term storage. You would choose this type of storage for electronics, optical discs (CDs, DVDs), vinyl records, clothing, mattresses, appliances, metals, paper items, and wood furniture or instruments. Climate controlled storage is ideal for business inventory or document storage. If you have art, antiques, delicate fabrics, leather furniture, or other luxury items, then this is the choice for you. There are other factors to consider as well – you can access your items in comfort! Enjoy protection from rain and snow as you access your unit, and fortification from freezing cold or blistering heat. Keypad entry to the building adds an additional layer of security. The building is equipped with alarms, cameras, and a sprinkler system. Plus, your unit is a short distance from our new cozy and inviting office where you can get a coffee and use the Wi-Fi.
